Elena Galeeva was born beyond the Arctic Circle in Murmansk in 1995. She currently lives and works in France.

Elena Galeeva explores otherness. What if understanding were fantastical and illusions real: the vertigo of existence for those who experience daily dissociation far from their culture of origin, or for all of us, caught up in the daily course of ideologies.

She combines theatrical practice as director and set designer, as well as spatial storytelling and situational practice as a visual artist and director.

She explores the question of fiction and documentary, floating identity and the confrontation of cruel reality and fairy tales through documentary practice around people in migration, transition as geographical and mental.
