Raffaele CIOTOLA

Master Raffaele Ciotola is known for his original and provocative approach to contemporary painting. His work blends tradition and innovation, reworking classical techniques with a modern sensibility. Ciotola explores themes of memory, identity, and human fragility, using painting to express emotions and reflections on the human condition. His art is also a tool for social activism, through movements like Stop Homoph ART, against homophobia and for diversity. He founded three artistic movements: Stop Homoph ART, Rock Art Ciotola, celebrating the expressive freedom of rock painting, and Finger Art Ciotola, a technique using fingers to create spontaneous, emotional marks.

Among his most notable works are The Madonna of Fatima, in the permanent collection of the Fatima Museum (Portugal), and Italy Against Racism and COVID-19, appreciated by President Sergio Mattarella. The Madonna of Homosexuals, dedicated to LGBTQ+ victims of Nazism, caught the attention of Jean-Louis Cougnon at the European Parliament. San Bonaventura da Bagnoregio is displayed in the Cathedral of Saints Nicholas, Donatus, and Bonaventura. Ciotola currently lives in Orte, Italy.
