Born in Colombes in 1995, Louis Lanne lives and works in Paris. Graduating from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris at the Childress studio in 2023, Louis Lanne developed his painting practice, after training in illustration at the École Estienne.Louis Lanne uses drawing as the common basis for an eclectic practice, ranging from painting to illustration, via comics, engraving and fanzines. His interest in risography allows him to explore his approach to narrative and micro-publishing through vibrant colors and bold shifts. Louis Lanne won first prize in the Jeunes Talents competition at the 2019 Angoulême International Comics Festival.
