Deniz Demirer, born in Istanbul in 1997, is a multidisciplinary artist and art project manager. She studied visual arts at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, where her work explores the complex relationship between the physical body, identity, and the environment, with a focus on issues like sexual abuse, the objectification of women’s bodies, and resilience.
Having completed a Master 2 in Arts & Vision at the Sorbonne, Demirer’s recent artistic practice incorporates abstract plaster sculptures on canvas. She uses diverse materials like mosaic tiles, beads, glass, and seashells, often burning parts of the plaster. Inspired by nature, her work delves into form, texture, and material interactions.
