my name is Alberto Moni and I am a professional photographer with experience in fashion and commercial.

After studying art, at the age of twenty I began my professional career as an assistant photographer at the Foto Atelier photography studio in Pisa. In those years I refined my knowledge of black and white printing techniques and slides. In the following years I continued to work as a photographer of city events and weddings in the Pisa area. Later I continued my photographic activity in the context of e-commerce for the Restar company in Pontedera, photographing through the still life technique, and then arrived in Florence where I collaborated with the luxury brand of high-end leather goods Sabani Florence. Among my inspirations: the psychedelic photography of Mick Rock and Richard Avedon, the creativity of Pierre et Gilles, the light of Caravaggio, the visionary surrealism of Andy Warhol, the Milanese architecture of Basilico, but also the works of Bruce Gilden, Mario Testino and David Lachapelle and, lastly, the charm of abandoned places to bring back to life through photography. I believe that photography should excite, provoke a vibration, ignite curiosity. My personal photographic philosophy tends to eliminate the separation between photographer and subject: we are what we see and therefore, since the gaze is a central act in photography, we are also what we photograph.
