"Wings" est la première venue d'une série qui continue encore aujourd'hui. De par son titre et son aspect, c'est un clin d'œil évident à la Victoire de Samothrace. Cependant, ici, le clin d'œil n'est pas porté sur l'histoire d'une bataille victorieuse ou pour une allégorie métaphorique de la réussite au sens large mais plutôt sûr l'aspect "puzzle" de cette œuvre qui jusqu'à nos jours reste incomplète. Dans son process, la conception de chacune des œuvres de Samy San est un puzzle avec la vie environnante. L'art et la vie dans le réel, l'assemblage direct et improbable de tout ce qui est dans le champ de vision dans un moment T.
