Daniel Nicolaevsky Maria, né en 1991 dans la favela du Petit Crocodile (Jacarézinho) de Rio de Janeiro, a manifesté très tôt sa passion pour le dessin et le langage en tant que formes d'expression. Il a débuté ses études en infographie à l'école Melies pour l'animation 3D à São Paulo en 2009, et en 2014, il a été admis à l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. Il a eu l'occasion d'étudier aux côtés de la chorégraphe Emmanuelle Huynh et de l'artiste Claude Closky.
