The artwork

La série Sig est composée de 8 dessins aquarellés "Rouge de mars" sur papier Arches 180 grs. Chaque œuvre présente un mur d'un bâtiment monumental imaginaire qu'il serait impossible d'appréhender d'un seul coup d'œil. Les décalages des briques créent une illusion d'optique et composent un dessin cinétique. Face à une telle composition, trois questions se posent : Quel est ce bâtiment ? Que ressent-on devant ce mur ? Qu'y a-t-il derrière ce mur ?

The artist Gaël DARRAS

Gaël Darras (Né en 1990) vit et travaille à Escamp (Lot). Il est diplômé de l’École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Nantes Métropole (DNSEP) et a suivi une formation d’enluminure auprès du Maître enlumineur Jean-Luc Leguay qui dirige le Centre international des traditions de l’image de lumières (CITIL) à Paris.
