The artwork

Prolongement de deux projets anciens, l’un pour un rond-point à Avignon en 1983, l’autre pour Rueil-Malmaison, en 1992, l’idée de Sagitta témoigne de l’obstination et de la pertinence avec lesquelles Pigeau engage son travail. Le ciel et la lumière y sont ici les prétextes déterminants à la création d’un site qui vise au rapport conjugué entre deux types d’espace, le naturel et l’urbain. « Avec Sagitta, note l’artiste, c’est apporter l’idée de nature dans l’espace urbain contemporain où l’homme a perdu ce contact avec les éléments.
