The artwork

Je travaille sur une sorte d’anthropologie inversée. Mes Guetteurs anthropologues étudient notre civilisation en pleine mutation. Cette figure totémique, appelée « Guetteur » parle directement à l’Homme, en silence, pour lui dire de ne pas oublier son essence propre, son humanité. Elle est aussi empreinte d’humour et de second degré. Le matériau est l’acacia. L’acacia est symbole de vie, d’immortalité. Il est même l’archétype de la transmission du Savoir. Son bois est dur et presque imputrescible. Taille directe, installation, référence aux arts premiers sont les moteurs du questionnement.
