Le Lac I

Once upon a time, in Sologne, there was an ancient and mysterious lake. A shifting mirror of water, deep and capricious, said to be inhabited by invisible forces. Its waters, sometimes calm and sometimes restless, reflected not only the sky but also the legends and secrets buried in its depths. This lake was unlike any other. Once every century, without any explanation, it would drain completely, revealing its sandy bed and remnants of a vanished sea. Then, just as mysteriously, its waters would return, flooding the natural basin as if nothing had happened. And this happening again now !

Born in the United States in 1989 and a graduate of the École des Gobelins in 2017, Sasha Mongin lives and works in Paris.
