The artist Denis RODELLA

I have always been passionate about everything that organizes around a center and the symmetries that emerge from it.
The central element of my work lies in the skillful use of symmetries, often based on circles and squares. These shapes, fundamental building blocks of geometry, find new life in my digital creations, evoking a modern aesthetic while radiating something timeless.
After years of producing traditional paintings using paint and collages, transitioning to digital art gave my long-matured craft an unprecedented boost, leading me to create over three hundred digital works in just one year.
On the cusp of my twenty-fifth birthday, a simple stone thrown into the water sparked an artistic revelation in me. The concentric circles forming on the surface, expanding infinitely outward, acted as a catalyst. “What if the center was everywhere and the circumference nowhere?” This intuition led me to pick up a brush, and my passion for painting took the form of circular figures.
Guided by this discovery, along with a strong foundation in both scientific and artistic culture, I began to perceive the omnipresence of symmetrical forms—particularly those organized around circles and squares—in every aspect of life: nature, culture, architecture, technology…
This aesthetic perception transformed into a fractal exploration of my surroundings.
Each composition became a visual meditation, inviting viewers to explore the corners of their own psyche through recurring patterns and fractal structures.
