Mezli Vega Osorno is an artist, researcher and curator. Since 2022 she is in residency at Le Couvent, Marseille. She obtained her PhD in photography from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie and the Aix-Marseille Université in 2020. That same year, was the recipient of a photographic research grant from the Institut Français, Dos Mares and the FIFV and went to Valparaiso (Chili) for a month. She worked as a curator in Galeria 184 in Ensenada, Mexico, organising alogside Enrique Botello an exhibition titled "Habitar mundos", offering artists to experiment with new forms of exhibiting their photographic projects.

In her work, Vega Osorno develops the relationships between socio-economic issues, habitat and the construction of landscape representations. In 2008, she was awarded a creative grant in Mexico and in 2011, a residency in Atelier National with the support of Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (Mexico).  This same year she received "La Maison Blanche #1" Award and in 2014, she obtained the Quinzaine Photographique Nantaise Award. Her work has been shown internationally in France, Germany, Serbia, The Netherlands, Mexico and Thailand. Vega Osorno collaborates with different educational and cultural organisations (such as Dos Mares, Marseille, Paris College of Arts, Galeria 184, Ensenada, Mexico and Aalto University, Finland) providing support for artists.
